How these numbers are made

Self-published

Every range comes from the person who charges it, not from scraped listings or a survey of what producers wish they paid.

Verified crew only

A rate counts toward a median only after the person has been vouched for or their credits checked. Unverified profiles never move the numbers.

Nothing under fifteen

We don't publish a median until a position has at least fifteen ranges. A small sample is worse than no number, because people act on it.

Like for like

Non-union commercial work, kit billed separately. Mixing day rates with project fees or union scale would make all of it meaningless.

What isn't here. Union work runs on published IATSE rate cards already — duplicating those badly helps nobody. Photography carries usage licensing that a day rate can't express, so those are quoted separately. Design and post are often project fees, which don't belong in a day-rate median at all.

Crew: add your range — it always counts toward the median, whether or not you choose to show it on your own profile.
